Paid traffic is a valuable resource for marketers. As you know, affiliate marketing is one way to get your message out there and make some money while doing it. In combination, running targeted traffic from paid traffic can be a potent method. I used it myself, and if done correctly, the ROI is insane. However, there are a few points to consider. It can be hard to find the best paid traffic sources, but we have created this list of five that you will love.

As the term itself suggests, with paid traffic, you pay for your audience. When it comes to paid traffic, the importance of keywords is essential. Companies like Youtube, Google, or Facebook analyze the search history of their users. As an advertiser, you can use this knowledge for your benefit and show your ads to potential customers only.

If you consider that in April 2021, 4.72 billion people, or 60.1% of the world’s population, have been using the internet, you get an idea of how powerful it is. And thanks to modern technology, this whole potential market is accessible relatively cheap.

Let’s imagine for one second you are an affiliate marketer and trying to sell a weight loss training class. Overweight is an issue with a huge potential market. In Google Adwords, you can now target potential customers with search history and known interest in that field. Additionally, you can filter your audience based on demographics like age, gender, household income, or parental status.

As already mentioned before, you can reach large amounts of people interested in your product offer with paid traffic. If done correctly, conversions (an interaction with your ads or purchase) are really cheap. Low conversion costs equal good ROI most of the time. If you want your paid campaigns to be successful, it is important to promote high-end products on GoogleAds. Why? If you are running ads on GoogleAds for 20$ products, your profit margins are going to be too small. This means you can struggle to be profitable if the price is too small. What To Consider With Paid Traffic

The downsides of running ads and paid traffic are considerable, especially for beginners. The most important downside is that no sales are guaranteed. Additionally, I don’t recommend starting with paid ads if you don¨t have a budget of at least $1500-2000. This means you have to be prepared to lose money at the beginning.

Key in every paid traffic campaign is correctly analyzing the data and finding the winning campaigns by testing and tweaking. If you hire an agency or buy traffic from a website, make sure you do plenty of research. There are a lot of companies which will deliver bad quality.

Important Paid Traffic Stats

When it comes to determining if a campaign is successful or not, the stats below might be helpful for you. Please consider that these are to be considered as a rule of thumb, not an exact science. However, these are the most important stats. If you are extremely new to paid ads and paid traffic, I recommend taking a training course first.     • Cost per Conversion: As low as possible, anything below $5 can be considered as fine.
    • Conversion Rate: The conversion rate can be calculated by the number of clicks divided by conversions. You want to aim for at least a 25% conversion rate.
    • Click-Through  Rate: Anything over 1% can be seen as fine.

Disadvantages Of Paid Ads

Everything in life has two sides. This is no different when it comes to paid traffic. Below I have listed the three main points that can be a disadvantage from paid traffic and paid ads in particular:

Now, without further delay, let’s dive into my list of the best sources of paid traffic for affiliate marketers.

These are all proven strategies that work well with Affiliate Marketing campaigns! There are many different ways to do affiliate marketing, such as email marketing, blogging, social media advertising, and more! There are many more sources, but these five help us get traffic, and these are my personal favorites.

  Google AdWords

Google AdWords is one of the best traffic sources available for affiliate marketers. In addition, the Google Network includes a variety of advertising formats. Advertising on Google is great for small businesses that need to reach targeted audiences and want to be able to track their ROI. The average cost per click varies from $0.98-5.01, and the click-through rate is 1.91%. The cost per click is an interesting stat, but I recommend not only focus on that.  Many businesses are getting an ROI of 3-5 times from Google Adwords. You can run video ads or pay for websites to rank on page one in the search engine.

Facebook Ads

In position two, we have Facebook Ads. This is very popular because it’s easy to set up and has one of the lowest costs per click rates out there! The average cost per click for Facebook ads across all industries is $1.72, and the click-through rate 0.90%.

Even though this cost may seem low at first glance, it will actually take a lot more money than you might think to see success with your campaign. Quite often marketers found that their CTR was around 0-0%, which means they were unable to make any conversions from visitors on their site as no clicks or interactions occurred. This is because Facebook ads are an extremely competitive space and if you don’t have a tight budget or know what you’re doing, it can be hard to see success.

Bing Ads

Bing powers 37.7% of U.S. desktop searches and 14.6 billion monthly searches around the globe, plus connects you with 46.4 million searchers that Google can’t reach. In fact, 27 percent of our clicks come from searches exclusive to the Microsoft Search Network.
In the U.S., the Microsoft Search Network has 142 million unique searchers, according to their own website. On average, the cost per click across all industries is 33% lower than on Google AdWords.

Quora Ads

Quora ads platform actually has one of the cheapest cost per click in the industry. You can bit how much you are ready to pay per click, and quora will give you some suggestions. You can choose if you pay per click or pay per view. If you are just starting, I would recommend going with the cost-per-click option. The prices can be as low as $ 0.15-0.45 per click, which is amazing. On a negative note, I have to add that video ads are not possible. And the platform is extremely fast with suspending ad accounts not matching their policy.

Twitter Ads

Twitter’s greatest advantage apart from the vast audience of 4.52 billion active users per year is the creditability of the platform. I have personally had excellent experiences with Twitter ads. You can promote Twitter posts that won’t stand out as ads so much. Plus, the competition is much lower than on Facebook or Google Adwords. The average click-through rate is quite low at 0.86%. The cost per click is also quite good at $0.50-2.50.
